Goodbye 200/8
On reporting the latest spam originating somewhere in the 200.0.0.0/8 network (LACNIC) this morning, I feel as if I need a rest. Have listed CIDR: 200.0.0.0 /8 (Notes/Domino: [200.*.*.*]) in our local block list.
I have personally never seen a real email to any user here from that network; just endless spam. What tipped me over the edge was a spam from Mexico, in Spanish, addressed to a system administrator who left this company perhaps four years ago and who does not in any case speak Spanish, inviting him to some seminar on thin client technology. That and a whole bunch of porno addressed to spamtrap addresses here.
So no more email here from large parts of Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Venezuela and so on. Let's see if anyone complains.

LOL!!! I am an AMerican company -- and we blocked that too!
From an American insurance company of 6,000 -- not one complaint! (mind you it's been only 36 hours)

Have you yet received any calls from users regarding 200/8 ? Here in the US, I have yet to get a call...I'm staying mum.
