When any attachment name contains .pif, don't deliver message - silently delete
Do this for all file types commonly used for viruses but otherwise not often found in emails, such as .scr .bat and so on. Of course you can't block .zip (previously used by a Sobig variant) and you may not want to block .exe, but you could change their routing state to held during new virus outbreaks.
Or, just get yourself a decent server add-in that handles attachment blocking, viruses and spam. Trend Micro has a product that works very effectively here.
