From the Suspicions Confirmed departmentBT has shockingly confirmed that its new 21st Century Network (21CN) infrastructure does not support the crucial IPv6 protocol, which is kind of important because it's now a well established fact that existing IPv4 addresses are in decline and could run out entirely by 2011.
Let's just pause to let that sink in.
BT's flagship infrastructure project, 21CN, does not support IPv6.
The one carrier which could really make a difference to the take-up of IPv6 in the UK and which has a major infrastructure modernisation project, which provides an unprecedented opportunity to enable IPv6 in the UK on a very large scale, just doesn't get it.
Where there's no will, there's no way.
