Splorf!We believe in the "Good Neighbor" policy. Simply put, all abusive traffic emanating from an ISP on port 25 is the responsibility of that ISP to control. If the ISP does not reasonably control abusive traffic, it is at risk of being blocked by other ISPs. This policy applies equally to network and backbone providers and their downstream customers.
Why the coffee sneeze?
Well, just look at the membership of this august group of organisations - America Online, British Telecom, Comcast, EarthLink, Microsoft, and Yahoo!. Now look at SenderBase to see whose networks are most active on port 25. Now search NANAS for spam from, for example, BT dynamic pools or Comcast cable IPs.
In other words, I know from direct experience which of the above actually do reasonably control abusive traffic. And it ain't all of them neither. That's all I'm saying...
